Whats more problematic. Say in a scenario of a business owner XYC Inc (generic company name) had XYC.sucks. Chose not to renew said domain therefore coming available to the general public for purchase and use of under the consumer rights act. Said domain then having a website generated and placed onto it to tarnish the reputation of the company. Causing thousands of dollars worth of loss revenue, legality bills and time wasted on trying to retrieve the domain itself. Personally if I was a business owner, I would instantly buy this domain regardless due to the power it could potentially have on my business regardless of wether I never messed up as a company. The minute someone is disgruntled over something, they can hold that grudge for a while and can potential destroy the business you built up. $276 for a year? Over $10000's of legal fees, marketing campaigns to alter the consumers mindset on the company etc.... Worth every penny
